1. Purpose of This Policy
This Acceptable Use and Messaging Policy explains how subscribers may and may not use CovertCaller, a service operated by 2amNexus LLC. It works alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which are incorporated here by reference.
2. Intended Use
CovertCaller is intended for lawful personal, manually initiated, one-to-one communication. Subscriber-assigned numbers are reserved for subscriber-created conversational traffic. Each outgoing message must be individually written and manually initiated by the subscriber.
CovertCaller routes messages written by subscribers. It does not compose messages, select recipients, or initiate conversations on a subscriber’s behalf.
Messaging activity must resemble ordinary two-way human conversation. Traffic is expected to remain reasonably balanced between outgoing and incoming messages, generally within a one-to-one to one-to-three conversational ratio. Unusually high outbound activity, repeated unanswered messages, substantially identical messages, or other nonconversational patterns may result in review, restriction, or suspension.
Subscribers must replace their protected phone number at least every 12 months. Email-alias changes are optional. Number changes are subject to account standing, availability, security review, and compliance review.
Rotation may not be used to evade recipient blocks, opt-out requests, spam complaints, carrier filtering, account restrictions, usage limits, investigations, or enforcement actions. CovertCaller may deny a rotation request or suspend rotation privileges when misuse or attempted circumvention is suspected.
3. Prohibited Activities
The following activities are prohibited and may result in restriction, suspension, or termination of your account:
- 1Bulk or mass messaging.
- 2Automated messages.
- 3Scheduled messages.
- 4Marketing or promotional campaigns.
- 5Cold outreach and unsolicited commercial messages.
- 6Lead generation or selling access to recipients.
- 7Purchased, rented, scraped, or shared contact lists.
- 8Substantially identical messages sent to unrelated recipients.
- 9Commercial messaging on behalf of a business or organization.
- 10Reselling or sharing accounts or numbers.
- 11Harassment, threats, hate speech, phishing, impersonation, fraud, or deception.
- 12Adult, controlled-substance, cannabis, gambling, firearm, debt-relief, high-risk financial, or other carrier-prohibited content.
- 13Artificially increasing traffic or circumventing usage limits.
- 14Rotating numbers to evade enforcement, recipient blocks, opt-out requests, or carrier filtering.
- 15Continuing to contact someone after being asked to stop.
- 16Emergency calls or reliance on 911.
4. Automated Analysis of Communications
CovertCaller may monitor traffic patterns and automatically analyze communications for compliance, spam, fraud, abuse, and prohibited content. Automated analysis helps us protect the service, our subscribers, and the carriers and providers we rely on. We do not claim that every message is manually reviewed.
Automated analysis does not compose, address, initiate, schedule, or send subscriber SMS messages. Outbound conversational messages are written and initiated by the subscriber.
5. Enforcement
When violations of this policy are detected, CovertCaller may take any of the following actions:
- Block specific messages or communications.
- Restrict account features.
- Suspend a subscriber-assigned number.
- Suspend the account.
- Terminate the account.
- Preserve relevant records for review, compliance, or legal purposes.
- Cooperate with telecommunications providers or lawful authorities.
We may take these actions without prior notice where we believe it is necessary to protect the service, comply with law, or respond to carrier or provider complaints.
6. No Emergency Use
CovertCaller phone numbers must not be used for emergency calls or 911 service. The service is not a replacement for emergency telephone service and may not complete or route emergency calls.
